Temporal vs. eternal well-being, and secular vs. theistic:
The secular world recognizes certain things as belonging to well-being (this is secular well-being).
God recognizes certain things as belonging to well-being (this is theistic well-being).
Temporal well-being is about how to make the moment good.
Eternal well-being is about how to secure a good eternity for people.
Theistic well-being matters inherently.
Secular well-being matters instrumentally in furthering theistic well-being.
Within theistic well-being, eternal well-being matters inherently.
Temporal well-being matters inherently but is less important than eternal well-being.
It can be instrumental in furthering eternal well-being.
Temporal well-being should be pursued if it does not conflict with eternal well-being.
