The philosophy in this seems valid, but I haven't thought it through.
Why is there evil in the world? Why?
"Why?" can be asked to find out facts, to build a worldview. It can also be asked as a cry of the heart.
Is there a pat answer for why there is evil in the world, an intellectually satisfying one? Perhaps. I think so. All it takes is for God to have to negotiate with evil beings, and for beings to have the free will to be evil.
Yet, the cry of the heart remains. And then I question some more. Is there ever really a reason for why free-willed beings choose evil? Free will is not determined by reasons. No, all free choices of evil are done for no reason. Similarly, all free choices of good are done for no reason. But the heart does not cry out "why" about the free choices of good, so there tends not to be the unanswered question "Why is there good in the world? Why?".
